CURRENT APPEAL

Our Phase 4 Appeal Target is

£80,000

So far, we have raised

£61,046

Once again we have started by

asking our local Renal Department

what they require most

Gill, Tiffany, Richard and Colin hand a cheque for £20,000 to

staff representing City Hospital Dialysis Unit.

The further £20,000 will comprise a “pump priming” fund to help

research applications, notably in the area of Acute Kidney Injury

where a small team in Nottingham are undertaking exciting research.

The idea of the “pump priming” fund is to enable evidence to be

provided to have more success in attracting major funding.

Together, we are committed to support our Local medics in this area.

As ever we will provide an equal amount to Kidney Research UK

and so £40,000 will contribute towards their

 “Making Every Kidney Count” initiative.

Easy to set up and to use for any event that you think will help us

Collecting Tubes

On-Going

Gill brought to one of the meetings an idea she had used with her local WI  to collect money for a large NHS project that involved using plastic tubes that would hold 20p pieces, making about £14 per tube when full.

They are so easy for anyone,(including children),  to place unwanted change in them, and they can be used over and over again.

This simple idea has brought in

£34,408

since 2003 and is still going strong.

* Nov 2018
